ABSTRACT
The 32nd JSPP Annual Convention (1999/12/11-12) had Panel Discussion: Concerning the achievements by FUKURAI Tomokichi, pioneer of Japanese Parapsychology, in its second day morning session. Kuroda showed Fukurai's considerable episodes in relation to his achievements. Otani stressed his ingenious undertakings and research methods in the background of academic stage at his time. Mizoguchi dealt with the accident, his dismissal from Tokyo University professor,relating to the history of academic institutions in Japan. Kobayashi reported newspapers' treatments with his achievements in public. After their talks there were much interesting discussion between speakers and audiences. Finally Chairperson Onda concluded we had a good opportunity to reflect the achievements by Fukurai and their social circumstances as we had this Panel Discussion.
